Passing 1100

We surpassed 1100 miles of skijoring for the 2013/2014 season today!
1107 miles and counting - woo hoo!
"Hey bro - that was a fun 1100 miles! What do you say we go for 1200?" says happy
little Zorro talking to his brother without breaking stride as we jog along the trail.

It was a fast day on the trails at Swan Valley Recreation Area this morning. The temperatures were just cool enough to keep the huskies cool & fast while just warm enough to soften the terrain.
Zoom, zoom, zoom - this was my view most of the day!

There were lots of fast video highlights from the day. The following was my favorite as we jog through a bumpy left on the trail and then straighten out into a full sprint straightaway - wheeee!
[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

A beautiful day to surpass 1100 miles for the season. Let's ask my partners:
"It's been an epic season and we've still got a month or more to go!" says approving Max.
"What? Head back to the trailhead - what for? I thought we were shooting for 1200 today!" says
intense Zorro clearly questioning my declaration to turn around to head back to the trailhead
to close out the day.

A fast day in Swan Valley covering 9.6 miles with 1050 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 20 MPH.

2013/2014 Season to Date: 128 days on the trails covering 1107.0 miles with 128,200 feet of elevation climbed. 1107 miles and counting - 1200 here we come...
