Flirts

The "spring crust" was incredible up high at Vail Pass this morning. Just ask Max:
"Wheeee little bro! So nice up here!" declares Max to Zorro as we fly along the spring crust.
"I'm flooring it, I'm flooring it!" says 'all business' Zorro determined to keep up with fast Max :)
While the spring crust was great for going fast; Max & Zorro have another favorite skijor activity at Vail Pass: flirting with the people who have stayed overnight at the backcountry huts. The love to meet the crowds and bring smiles to their faces as they see the two beautiful huskies towing the crazy human.

We had a nice flirt session with a group of skiers leaving the huts:
Pausing to flirt with two of the skiers.
"I'll take this one!" says Max stopping to flirt with the first of 2 skiers.
"Okay, I'll take the second one!" declares Zorro moving past the first to get the second
all to himself :)
A little further along the trail and a flirt session with a group of snowshoers this time:
"Hi dude! You need skis!" says Max stopping to flirt with the first snowshoer.
"I'll take the second one again!" declares Zorro going past the first to interact with the second.
On sunny days we often get "airborne, hover husky" clips of Max & Zorro. It was overcast this morning but Max & Zorro did their best to provide a hover husky shot:
Synchronized & airborne hover huskies. Showing a pair of hover huskies can look impressive
in overcast conditions too!

Fun day climbing to the huts, flirting with the hutters and then flying around the spring crust above the huts. Wheeee: 8.8 miles traveled with 1000 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 22 MPH.

2016/2017 Season to Date: 147 days on the trails covering 1232.3 miles with 131,100 feet of elevation climbed.
