Great wide angle shot of the incredible conditions atop Rabbit Ears Pass this morning!

Jack & Rudy hovering over the trail with wonderful snow covered terrain as far as the eye can see in this wide angle shot! |
It was a slow start to the season at Rabbit Ears with much less snow than normal in December and January. But, February was a good month on the pass. Now, on March 1st, you wouldn't know that the season started slow! Beautiful conditions to start March!

Starting the day on soft snowmobile tracks with endless snow all around us! |
We did an "out & back" skijor near Dumont Lake. An "out & back" requires a turnaround, right? Was it the usual turnaround antics from Jack & Rudy?

Nope, not the usual. Instead of rolling "turnaround snow angels", the silly kids played "dive & dunk" for rodents off trail in deep snow. |
But, don't worry, I stopped a second time to assess our time on trail. The kids took this opportunity to do their typical "stop, drop & roll" routine :)

How about another cool shot of the endless terrain and hovering Jack & Rudy:

Zipping along behind the hover huskies! |
Despite how incredible all the photos look above, it was actually a bit bouncy along the trails today. After a weekend of heavy snowmobile use, the trails were soft but uneven. It is hard to see in the photos; but come along for a video view of me bouncing along behind Jack & Rudy. Good workout of the human's legs!

End of the day and I love this shot of us "in tight" with elder Zorro to share the group end of run treats!
