Let It Snow

It was a "let it snow" day on the trails today...
Galloping along in the fresh snow with new snow falling all around us.
Normally you can see an entire forest of trees around us at this point on the trail.
But, it was snowing so hard today, you can barely make out a few trees through the falling snow.
The only negative about a "heavy falling snow" day is that the GoPro continually gets covered in snow. I would look at it occasionally to find it completely covered, then wipe it clear and watch it become completely covered again in 10-15 seconds. So, we do not have much footage to show from today's outing. But, it was a very fun day gliding through heavy falling snow!

At our turnaround point of the day, the "smell of moose" caught everyone's noses (we had seen moose tracks just minutes earlier). A quick pause to take in the smell of moose:
Snow covered bodies, snow covered heads & moose filled noses - Siberian Perfect Day!
Back at the trailhead getting our "end of run chunks of pork". You can see the snowflakes continuing to fall - we are in for a good dump of snow today & tonight!!!!
So focused! Will work for pork :)

Snow falling all day - yay! 7.4 miles with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 16 MPH. Tune back tomorrow for what should be some great powder tales & photos!

2014/2015 Season to Date: 11 days on the trails covering 86.0 miles with 9450 feet of elevation climbed.
