Splat

Great day laying fresh tracks for 9.4 miles at Rabbit Ears Pass - wheeee!
Most of the day looked like this: untouched trail in front of us as we laid fresh tracks
in 2-4 inches of powder all day long!

Every once in a while you can summarize the footage from the GoPro with one word - splat! Here is what I mean:
Beautiful sprint shot as we glide along the trail!
But, seconds later and...
SPLAT - a snowball flew off one of the Siberian Trucks in front of me and onto the
GoPro camera case. SPLAT! The rest of the day's footage is now blurred...
Need some mudflaps (or snowflaps) on those Siberian Trucks :-)

A few fun shots from before the splat...
At a fork in the trail - we have taken both the left and right path before. I stopped to see
which path looked best for today....
"I think right looks very promising!" says intense Zorro.
"I'm rolling a snow angel to cool off until you make up your mind!" demonstrates silly Max.
"Love laying fresh tracks!" state the happy huskies!

A fun day laying fresh tracks for 9.4 miles with 900 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 22 MPH.

2014/2015 Season to Date: 72 days on the trails covering 617.7 miles with 66,650 feet of elevation climbed.
