Passing 1100

Passing 1100 miles of skijoring for the season this morning.
1100 and counting...
Running atop the spring crust as we use the snowmobile track to our right to guide us.

We spent 2/3 of the morning's outing skijoring the spring crust in wide open meadows. It was warm yesterday and only in the low 30s (F) when we started, so we stayed nearby recent snowmobile tracks. That is, if the crust could hold a snowmobile yesterday then it could certainly hold us today.

Here we go...
"Hey bro - you sure are loooong!" says Zorro the airborne, bouncing z-ball to long,
out-stretched and sprinting Max.

After touring the spring crust meadows for a while, we turned and "skied the trees" for a bit. Wheeee!
Towing the human through the trees. So fun to sit back on the skis and yell out "left, right or
forward" and have my perfect partners weave us through the forest!

A very satisfying day (but aren't they all :) as we surpassed 1100 miles skijoring for the season:
"Let's go for 1200!" states happy Max looking back to me during a quick pause.
"No.... 1300!" exclaims happy little Zorro.

We have surpassed 1300 miles the last two seasons. I do see 1200 in our future for this season; but 1300 may be pushing it this year, Zorro...

A short, fast & fun run to fly by 1100 miles for the season: 7.3 miles traveled with 500 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 21 MPH.

2015/2016 Season to Date: 131 days on the trails covering 1100.7 miles with 120,500 feet of elevation climbed.
