Perfect

An absolutely perfect day skijoring Vail Pass in May! Yay!
"Amazing! We loved it!" exclaim the happy pair at our turnaround point of the day.

We got up early to be on the trails by 7am. With warming spring temperatures, you need to get out early for the top layer of spring crust to be frozen enough to hold our weight. Well, the crust was fantastic, the conditions were perfect and this was one of the most amazing days of skijoring we've ever had in May. I could not possibly describe it, so show we'll show it...

Great views of the snow covered Rockies, airborne Zorro, out-stretched Max and the perfect early morning crust:
Wheeeee!

More nice views, nice airborne Max, sprinting Zorro and more of the perfect early morning crust:
Zooooom!

Synchronized airborne Siberians with more great views. The "white lines" you see on the mountains in front of us are the ski runs of Copper Mountain Ski Resort.
Catching air!

Put it all together and here is a fun video clip of the day. I have spliced together three short clips of the great day into this single video. Enjoy - we sure did!
[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

A perfect early morning May Day: 8.8 miles traveled with 1000 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 22 MPH.

2015/2016 Season to Date: 136 days on the trails covering 1141.1 miles with 125,500 feet of elevation climbed.
