Cache

Look at the endless & untouched snow cache we found past the back end of French Gulch and on the way up French Pass!
"Can we keep it? Can we keep all this snow to ourselves?" asks ecstatic Zorro.
"Nirvana..... just plain nirvana!" smirks satisfied Max.

French Gulch is well-traveled down low with the trail and tracks narrowing and eventually disappearing the further you go. Come along for the fun.

A fast packed and wide trail down low.
"Hey little bro - wheeee!" says giddy Max to Zorro as we fly along in lower French Gulch.

We go much farther than a traditional cross country skier, so eventually it was just us jogging along a light layer of new snow atop a snowmobile track:
"Zoom, zoom, zoom - where'd all the ski tracks go?" ask speedy Max & Zorro.

A little further and the snowmobile track ended due to dense trees. We skijored through the trees and then dropped out into this nirvana of a snow cache. Wow, untouched as far as the eye can see!
Making our own trail in the beautiful snow cache tucked hidden beyond French Gulch and
on the way up to French Pass!
From "fast packed" to "no tracks" - what a fun day: 8.8 miles traveled with 1000 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 22 MPH.

2015/2016 Season to Date: 89 days on the trails covering 756.8 miles with 80500 feet of elevation climbed.
