Impressive Zorro

An impressive skijor this morning from 11.5 year old Zorro showing the kids "how it's done"!
"Hi Mom - I had a blast today!" says happy Zorro trying to flash Nancy a smile
from behind big Rudy :)
We were first and second tracks on the fast & fun groomed trails at Gold Run Nordic Center this morning. The only time we were "second tracks" was when we repeated sections of trail and were second to our own first tracks.

With gentle & groomed nordic trails in the plan for the entire outing, Zorro joined us for the entire venture. Oh boy, let me tell you, Zorro was "FEELING IT" this morning. He was having a blast keeping pace with the 2 year olds, Jack & Rudy, all morning long. Here is a great shot of Zorro & Jack hovering over the trail next to missile Rudy!
Hovering black Siberians next to the red missile :)
We had to use a side trail to connect from one groomed trail to another for a short distance (maybe 50 yards or so). So, Zorro let the kids do the hard trail work for this short stint. Good job preserving the old guy :)
"Break trail kids, I'm right behind you!" says Zorro using the youngsters
to connect the groomed trails.
Back on to the groomie zoomies and, oh those kids!
"Kids - look at the perfect trail in front of us! Get up and let's go!" says Zorro.
Jack's facial expressions when rolling snow angels always crack me up!
Ok, we got the kids upright, so here we GO! Oh boy, a triple hover husky as we top 23 MPH on the groomie zoomie!
Beautiful hovering 11.5 year old Zorro flanked by his 2 year olds.
I tell you, Zorro was just darned IMPRESSIVE on the trails this morning. Come along for a minute of "WOW" watching him run. You will note me slowing (if you can call it that :) about 45 seconds in as we are approaching a blind corner. Once I see through the trees that there are no moose or loose dogs around the bend, we lean into the corner and floor it again. Zoom.

Love this photo. End of our fast & furious run and look who tipped over to cool their jets versus look who is all smiles coming back to me to ask for MORE!
"Hi Dad - that was FUN! I think we wore the kids out!' says happy, happy Zorro.
"Whew - that 11 year old KICKED our butts!' says snow rolling Jack & Rudy.
What a fun day on the groomie zoomie trails with Zorro! 6.2 miles traveled with 650 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 23 MPH.

2019/2020 Season to Date: 100 days on the trails covering 682.6 miles with 62,700 feet of elevation climbed.
