Groomie, Day 2

Today was Day Two of the Rabbit Ears Groomie Zoomie (groomed trails) party.
Zoooooom!
Pedal to the metal along the fast & easy groomed trail!

Following on yesterday's fast outing, we returned to the groomed trails at Rabbit Ears Pass today. It is truly amazing how much faster these trails run when groomed!

We did a different trail than yesterday (but still groomed). Looking at my GPS and Google Earth, I now believe the routes we did out & back yesterday and today actually connect 1-2 miles from where we turned around today. Next time we go to the Rabbit Ears Groomie Zoomie, we are going to try and connect these two trails for a 12-14 mile fast loop (already planning a January trip to Rabbit Ears :)

As with yesterday, the video highlight of the day is zoom, zoom, zoom:

Some more fun from the day:
All smiles glancing back when I called out time to turnaround and head back to the trailhead.
Midway through a left on the trail, I am cutting in closer than Max & Zorro so I can take in the
great views to the right (and not be too close to the edge & fly over by mistake :)
My favorite cliff edge to pause for a quick view from atop Rabbit Ears Pass.
"I don't smell anything worth stopping for!" states Max sniffing the air to figure out why we stopped.
"It's a steep down [a cliff]; but I can do it!" suggests Zorro looking over the cliff.

A shorter (timewise) outing than yesterday, but still Groomie Zoomie: 9.3 miles with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 22 MPH.

2014/2015 Season to Date: 29 days on the trails covering 235.5 miles with 25,450 feet of elevation climbed.
