Wild Wilder

Today we uncorked the Siberian Engine and got Wild in Wilder Gulch!
Airborne, sprinting sled dogs!
I love getting pictures of Max & Zorro "catching air" as we fly along the trails!

We decided to try a different route than our usual path at Vail Pass today. Instead of our usual Shrine Pass/Lime Creek route, we went the opposite direction and sprinted through Wilder Gulch with an extension to the top of Ptarmigan Pass before returning the same fast route.

It was a gorgeous day and the trail conditions were a perfect Groomie Zoomie - come along for the fun:

"New terrain, let's uncork it!" challenges airborne Zorro to Max as we started off a different
path than we normally take at Vail Pass
Out-stretched, sprinting Siberians from high atop the world near Ptarmigan Pass.
Airborne again. I think you get the theme for the day: zoom, zoom, zoom!

We'll certainly add this route to our list of options at Vail Pass. What did Max & Zorro think:
"Incredible day, I aprrove!" exclaims Happy Max.
"Yes, approve, but why are we stopped?" asks 'no reason to ever stop' Zorro.

A fast 9.1 mile outing with 1500 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH.

2014/2015 Season to Date: 35 days on the trails covering 288.5 miles with 31,150 feet of elevation climbed.

  1. That is so cool. Down in So Cal so hard to get to snow. :( I'm sure my fur kids would love it. :)
