Bluebird Day

A beautiful bluebird day for a skijor run up & down Boreas Pass!
Running along Boreas as Breckenridge Ski Resort comes into view on the mountains
across the valley from us.

Boreas provides some of the nicest views on clear & sunny days. It is fun to take in all that Boreas has to offer...
Zipping by the Bakers Tank railroad relic as we come out of the shadow of trees and into
the bright sun.

Parts of Boreas are shaded with trees all around you. So, when the "nature views" are obscured, you always have nice "Siberian views" to entertain you as well...
Two Siberians almost as one as we are in a tight sprint tuck along the narrow packed trail.
The trail is packed & fast but narrow high up on Boreas. If you stepped off the packed trail,
you would sink into 12+ inches of snow!

Back at the trailhead after completing a fast skijor up & down Boreas:
"Fun fast day - wheeee!" says happy & satisfied Max.
"Chomp, chomp - grabbing a quick snowcone to cool my jets!" demonstrates Zorro.

A quick trip up/down Boreas covering 10.1 miles with 1000 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 20 MPH.

2014/2015 Season to Date: 97 days on the trails covering 838.1 miles with 89,300 feet of elevation climbed.
