Cruising Boreas

It was a fun day skijoring the backcountry from Baldy Mountain to Boreas Mountain and then dropping down onto Boreas Pass Rd for a fast return leg - whee!

Sprinting along Boreas Pass Rd as we approach Bakers Tank.
A fast "2 Siberian Wide" packed trail!
Most of our time was spent on the more technical & narrow backcountry trails between Baldy and Boreas where we have to go a little slower...

Following a nice "double track" as we head up and into the backcountry.
Down to a "single track" trail at this point as we jog into a left through the trees.

Onto Boreas Pass Rd - time to uncork it!

Today was day 9 of our "mini Iditarod" covering 10 miles with 1000 feet of elevation gain and a top speed of 20 MPH.

Our total stats after 9 Iditarod days: 91.9 miles and 11,200 feet of elevation climbed.

GPS summary of today's fun outing.
