The GPS clocked us at our top speed ever today - 26.5 MPH! Zoom!!!!
Nice shot of the sprinting partners with the impressive GPS stats below them. |
We have been clocked at 26 MPH before; but it has always been between 25.8 MPH and 26.3 MPH. Today, though, it was 26.5 MPH - wow! If we use rounding, we could actually claim 27 MPH; but we'll leave our top recorded speed at 26 since it barely rounds to 27...
We were running the trails at Swan Valley this morning which always comes with fun interactions with the dog sled tours from Good Times Adventures. A nice shot of a perfect "on by" below:
"Hi buddies, coming through!" say Max & Zorro running by the team from Good Times. |
Today's video excerpt is an extended video of how much fun Max & Zorro have running with the dog sled tours. The video proceeds as follows: (1) sprinting along the trail until we have to pause as we are catching the sled team too quickly and cannot pass; (2) restart the sprint again and eventually slow down (via my snowplowing) as we are catching the team again; and finally (3) start again and the trail is wide enough for us to do a perfect pass. What fun!!!
[watch on youtube if no video loads below]
Sometimes the wide angle of the GoPro really comes in handy. I knew I had a happy face shot of Max & Zorro but was surprised at how wide an angle I needed to capture both:
"Yes, we had a great time today! Zoom!" say the happy pair at a quick pause on the trails. |
An impressive day hitting 26.5 MPH as our top speed! 10.4 miles with 900 feet of elevation climbed.
2014/2015 Season to Date: 98 days on the trails covering 848.5 miles with 90,200 feet of elevation climbed.
