Today's skijor outing found us traversing every type of terrain...
"We enjoyed all the terrain! Do we have to head back to the trailhead?" say happy Max & Zorro. |
(1) We were jogging in deep snowmobile tracks:
High snow walls along this snowmobile track taking us across an open meadow. |
(2) We were trotting in snowshoe tracks:
Nice scenery as we followed these snowshoe tracks to the top of a plateau. |
(3) We were laying our own fresh tracks:
An untouched trail leading deep into the forest. |
(4) We were riding Max's long-legged trail breaking skills:
Nobody but us Siberians have climbed this trail recently - deep snow to carve ourselves. |
(5) We were sprinting over 21 MPH on fast straightaways:
This brings our 2013/2014 season totals to 500.1 miles with 58,700 feet of elevation climbed for 58 days on the trails.
