Great Condition

The trails are still in great condition atop Rabbit Ears Pass!
Out-stretched brothers sprinting along the perfect trail - wheeee!

We took our favorite "shady trail" on Rabbit Ears Pass this morning. This trail is located at the highest elevations on the pass and has lots of trees to protect the trail from melting in the sun. It was a huge success as we had a fast 9 mile run out & back!

There are two large "openings in the trees" along this trail. We have fun gliding over to the edge of a cliff in one of these openings and taking in the great views:
Looking down on the rest of Colorado....

What a beautiful day for a skijor...
"Yo little bro - what a fun day, huh?" asks giddy Max talking to Zorro as we glide to
the finish of our run for the day (the trailhead is the road you can see in the foreground).

Max & Zorro approved of the day's outing:
"Having a blast, an absolute blast!" exclaim the happy pair at our turnaround point on
the trail this morning.

A fun out & back atop Rabbit Ears Pass covering 9.1 miles with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 20 MPH.

2014/2015 Season to Date: 117 days on the trails covering 1013.5 miles with 107,100 feet of elevation climbed.
