No Fooling

No fooling around from Jack & Rudy on perfection conditions this April 1st!

Fast kids hovering over the immaculate trail! Wheeee!
Heading southbound in this shot.

Jack & Rudy's skijor tally for this morning: 11.4 miles with 900 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH as we found ourselves being first tracks on the newly groomed snowmobile trail at Walton Peak. No joking around this April 1st as the kids were in flying form to make use of the perfect conditions!

Reverse of the first photo as we are now heading northbound.
Different direction, same results - the synchronized
hover huskies! Love the snow poofs behind the two!

When we were not hovering over the trail, we were flying over the trail :)

The flying kids. Zoom.

So much fun footage to share from this morning. How about the following cool clip as we start along a gentle zig/zag through a grove of trees and then transition into a wide open straightaway for endless skijoring. Wheeee!

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

Of course, all that flying around the trails means you have to roll and cool the jets at the turnaround point!

"Cooling before restarting!" demonstrates the fast & fun kids.

Quick pause while I check our time out on the trails. Everyone having a good time?

"Yes, yes, YES!" exclaims the happy, happy pair.

Today brought back a lot of memories of skijoring this same network of trails with Max & Zorro over the years. It was always the same result with Max & Zorro as Jack & Rudy today: ZOOM!

"Glad you had fun on one of my favorite trails!" Zorro tells me.
"Wheeee!" adds happy Jack & Rudy.

An absolutely perfect outing this morning: 11.4 miles traveled with 900 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH.

2020/2021 Season to Date: 126 days on the trails covering 1030.8 miles with 86,400 feet of elevation climbed
