Fresh Tracks Tuesday

Everybody having a good time skijoring this morning?

"You betcha!!!!" says the happy, happy kids flashing me some smiles.

How much fun are we having?

A playful good time!

Oops, that photo was not skijoring. Let's try that again. How much fun are we having?

Fresh tracks fun in 2ish inches of fresh powder!!!

Now that is more like it :) We started this morning's outing amidst lightly falling snow. As the morning wore on, the snow started to let up, some wind started blowing and eventually the sun came out. You can see active snowfall above and to the right of Jack in the prior photo and the developing wind blowing snow by the tree to the left of Rudy.

A few minutes after the prior photo and the sun broke through the clouds. Come along for today's fun Fresh Tracks Tuesday video clip. Remember it had just stopped snowing and the wind was picking up. As a result, you'll see fun "wind blown snow" coming down around us throughout the clip. Laying fresh tracks in new snow in April is always a treat!

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

A little further along and the sun was now beaming bright and we are still having Fresh Tracks Tuesday fun :)

New snow all to ourselves! Wheeee!

Back to the trailhead and the "snow wall climbers", Jack & Rudy, were back at it again climbing up a snow wall to get face to face with me standing for end of run treats. Funny kids.

"Just saving you from having to kneel, old man!" says the polite, young kids.

An amazing morning laying fresh tracks the ENTIRE outing: 9 miles traveled with 1000 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 23 MPH.

2022/2023 Season to Date: 126 days on the trails covering 1124.5 miles with 102,100 feet of elevation climbed.
