Wild

Getting wild and having a great time skijoring Wilder Gulch at Vail Pass this morning.
It was a warm day (for March) so you know what that means...
"Aaaaahhhh - rolling dual snow angels to cool off!" demonstrate funny Max & Zorro.

Wilder Gulch has fast trails that takes you through a range of terrain...

(1) Wide open and fast down low in Wilder Gulch:
Zoom, zoom, zooooom we goooo on this beautiful open trail in lower Wilder Gulch.
Love the shot of airborne Zorro! Love the shadow of out-stretched Max!

(2) Eventually the trail narrows and takes you into a dense forest of trees:
Look at that snow wall to our right! The snowpack is incredible in the shaded sections of trail!

(3) After winding through the trees you are suddenly above treeline on Ptarmigan Pass with endless snow as far as the eye can see!
All white as far as the eye can see. Perfect conditions at Ptarmigan Pass!

A great day with perfect conditions on Wilder Gulch at Vail Pass. See for yourself in this short video clip from the outing - wheeee!
[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

Perfect conditions + fast trails lead to a 10.3 mile outing with 1200 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 23 MPH.

2015/2016 Season to Date: 94 days on the trails covering 800.0 miles with 86150 feet of elevation climbed.
