Join Them
Zorro finally gave in... If you can't beat them:
At our turnaround point of the morning and the kids doing their usual "stop, drop & roll"
as Zorro looks on.
Join them:
Turned around and the kids start rolling angels again. But, wait, what's this? Zorro rolling a snow
angel too. Look at his head buried as he rolls.
"You amateurs, I've been rolling angels since before you were born! Just watch!" demonstrates
veteran Zorro.
"Hey cool big bro - nice face dunk with your roll!' says onlooking Rudy just finishing his own angel.
"Face plant, huh? Ok!" adds Jack.
Zorro has been known to roll a snow angel now & then; but nothing like the frequency at which Jack & Rudy do it (i.e., EVERY outing). But today Zorro gave in and showed the kids how it's really done. If you can't beat them, join them :)
We skijored the upper elevation trails of Breckenridge Nordic Center this morning. So beautiful up high:
Great view of flying Zorro on the left, hovering Jack in the middle and trucking Rudy to
the right. Oh yeah, nice views of the snow covered Rocky Mountains too :)
It was a gorgeous bluebird morning to get out on the trails. Today's video highlight has us flying past Kathy's Viewpoint warming hut and then flying, flying, flying along the fast trail. Fun to watch how Zorro & Rudy got into a synchronized groove running shoulder-to-shoulder on the hard packed center of the trail while powder Jack flirted in the soft & untouched corduroy shoulder most of the way.
Another fun shot from the morning. I love the shadow of the taut gangline as we come around a left bend in the trail.
Beautiful morning, beautiful skijor cruising!
Some well-earned end of run treats this morning from a fast & fun skijor:
"You have our FULL attention!" says the focused trio.
It's not unheard of to get a snow angel from Zorro; but it is a rare treat. An "if you can't beat them, join them" outing with Zorro this morning: 6.3 miles traveled with 700 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 21 MPH.
2019/2020 Season to Date: 55 days on the trails covering 374.0 miles with 36,000 feet of elevation climbed.
