Fun "shot from the front" as Jack, Rudy and I glide to the finish of this morning's skijor:
All smiles from the fun kids as we complete the morning run! |
It was an amazing day of laying fresh tracks and breaking trail atop Rabbit Ears Pass. There was 5-8 inches of snow our entire route and we were FIRST on the trail. The beautiful pictures will do more justice than words. See for yourself:
Untouched snow as far as the eye can see as we head north! |
How about this one...
Headed southward now, same results. Breaking trail in untouched snow for miles and miles! |
If you like the photos, wait until you see today's video clip of the "powder twins" propelling me through 5-8 inches of fresh powder. What a fun workout:
I could watch that video over & over (I already have :) I love watching Jack & Rudy power through powder. What impressive sled dogs!
Back to the trailhead to celebrate another fun outing with elder Zorro:
Happy and very polite & patient kids awaiting 'end of run' treats! |
We only had time for a short run this morning. But, oh boy was it an entertaining and aerobic trail breaking outing! 5.4 miles traveled with 400 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 17 MPH.
2020/2021 Season to Date: 19 days on the trails covering 140.4 miles with 12,700 feet of elevation climbed.
