Solar Power

Nice views of "Colorado below us" at our high point of this morning's skijor outing!

End of the line for this side trail as we look over a serious drop in
front of us. Despite Jack & Rudy's suggestion, we did NOT drop off
cliff to continue on :)

This morning's outing was absolutely PERFECT! We were first tracks on the freshly groomed Harrison Creek Trail. Oh my, was it fast & fun. Jack & Rudy really know what to do with a groomed sprint track! Our top speed today? 24 MPH!!!

The Hover Huskies showing what to do with a groomed sprint track!

Come along for today's video highlight. You guessed it, ZOOMing on the groomed sprint track. This clip is fun as we start out at a pretty fast pace in the shade. But, when we transition out of the shade and into the sun, Jack & Rudy kick it into another gear! I guess they are solar powered sled dogs :)

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

We didn't encounter many others on this trail today, just 3 snowmobiles and this cross country skier who really wanted to borrow Jack & Rudy for himself :)

"Hi... bye... coming through!" demonstrate fast running on by Jack
and Rudy.

While a groomed sprint track is great for setting your top speed of the season, Jack & Rudy would like everyone to know what else a groomed trail is good for... rolling snow angels of course!

Silly kids cooling their jets at our turnaround point of the outing.

What fun, fast fun today, right guys?

"Loved it!" says cool Jack.
"I had a fast blast!" adds cute Rudy.

Zooming day on Harrison Creek: 10.3 miles traveled with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH.

2022/2023 Season to Date: 35 days on the trails covering 285.6 miles with 24,700 feet of elevation climbed.
