Versatile

Cool shot of fast running Jack & Rudy flying along the trail this morning!

Zoom!

We did our usual "combination outing" with Gold Run Nordic Center this morning. That means starting on single track trails in the backcountry and then eventually dropping onto the wide groomed nordic trails.

Zooming along in a backcountry single track. Wheeee!

We did a couple of laps on the nordic trails which involves a few turnaround points. Here are the goofs at turnaround number 1:

"WOO, let's keep going!" sings wooing Rudy.
"Stop, drop and roll!" responds Jack.

Once Rudy stopped wooing and Jack was upright, it was time to restart. But, I needed to adjust my equipment a bit first. Come along and watch how wonderfully patient Jack & Rudy are waiting for the restart. But, once I give the "ok", it's off we goooooo flying along the fast nordic trail. Top speed in this skijor clip? 25 MPH. Zoom!

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

Then we got to our second turnaround point of the outing. Well, versatile Rudy knows how to mix it up during the day. Constant Jack is, well, constant Jack :)

"AAAAHHHH!" go the kids both rolling snow angels at the 2nd turnaround pause.

Done with the snow angels and off we go again. Time to catch some air out in the sun. Wheeee!

Jack & Rudy the hover huskies :)

Finally, time to show off our patience skills once again while waiting for end of run treats!

"We are READY!" says the happy kids waiting for the treats to come out.

A zooming day this morning: 10.1 miles traveled with 700 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 25 MPH.

2022/2023 Season to Date: 84 days on the trails covering 732.7 miles with 67,150 feet of elevation climbed.
