Z Wall

Another day with a beautiful view of Breckenridge Ski Resort!
The ski runs on peaks 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 all in view across the valley as we round a corner
on the trail. Nice!
It may be the one of the busiest times of year for tourists to be in town; but we still know how to find some private powder caches. A great shot of us laying fresh tracks in 3-4 inches of snow over an old snowmobile track. And, no, we are not telling anyone where this is :)
Laying fresh tracks despite being one of the busiest tourist weeks of the year. Wheeee!
Those are fox tracks, I believe, going down the center to the left of Max. Just us and the
fox in this hidden cache of snow.
Fun shot of the day. We were going along in what is a ditch in the summer with a 6-9 inch dirt wall. Well, this section of trail gets a lot of wind, so snow has blown and grown the dirt wall into a 3 foot snow wall. The top of the wall had a "wind blown crust". Max & I tried to ride atop the wall but both of us punched through, so the two of us hopped down in the ditch to glide. Zorro, being the smallest and lightest member of our team, had no problem trotting atop the wall without punching through.
"Whee - look at me!" says light, little Zorro. A perfect "Z Wall".
Peek through the trees to the right and you see Breckenridge Ski Resort again.
How is the following for talented? Synchronized Snow Angels!
If the Olympics ever get Synchronized Snow Angels as an event, then we have the gold
in the bag :)

A peaceful glide on lesser known trails this morning: 7.7 miles traveled with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 18 MPH.

2016/2017 Season to Date: 48 days on the trails covering 370.5 miles with 37,850 feet of elevation climbed.
