Break to Zoom

Nice view of Breckenridge Ski Resort across the valley from our skijor this morning
Pretty view of the ski runs, snow covered peaks and blue sky across the valley.
Today's outing had both technical backcountry touring and then a fast groomed speed track: wheeee!

We started with backcountry touring and eventually found ourselves breaking trail in 10+ inches of powder. A fun backcountry workout:
Plowing along as Max & Zorro tow me through the backcountry terrain.
The reward of this route is a "groomed loop" deep in the forest. So, you get a refreshing workout on the way to the loop and the put the pedal to the metal as you fly around the groomed loop.
Nice shot of my sprinting partners as I swung out to the left to get this partial profile.
Zoom!
We did two laps around the groomed loop and then had backcountry tour out of the forest. So, backcountry + zoom + zoom + backcountry - what a fun combo day. Did everyone have a good time?
"So much fun - I loved it all!" says Max looking up with his approval to my question.
"Wheeee - just wheeeeee!" says happy little Zorro.

A fun "combo day" covering 8.4 miles with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH.

2016/2017 Season to Date: 47 days on the trails covering 362.8 miles with 37,050 feet of elevation climbed.
