Freshies

Laying fresh tracks all day at Rabbit Ears Pass - wheeee!
Zipping along the trail laying fresh tracks in 2-3 inches of fresh snow. Such fun!

We were thrilled to spend the entire day with a layer of fresh snow all to ourselves. We traveled 8 miles around Rabbit Ears and did not encounter another soul on the trails until the last 1/4 mile!
"So much fun laying fresh tracks!" exclaim the happy pair glancing back at me after a quick
pause to adjust my equipment.

The temperatures were probably the main reason the trails were so empty this morning. Low temperatures plus a blowing wind lead to a wind chill factor of about 15F below zero. Some might think that was cold and apparently some might not :)
"Ah, nothing like rolling a snow angel to cool off at 15 below!" demonstrates crazy Max.

A day of the freshies (fresh tracks) covering 8 miles with 950 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 19 MPH.

2015/2016 Season to Date: 25 days on the trails covering 206.7 miles with 21350 feet of elevation climbed.
