Shelf

Gorgeous conditions high atop Rabbit Ears Pass this morning!

Wide angle shot showcasing the great trail  conditions, the
awesome morning & views and fast running Jack & Rudy!

I love the following shot of Rudy. We were flying along one stretch of trail as Rudy was hugging the right side of the trail. It happens that was a overhanging snow shelf along this section. Cool shot of Rudy running under the overhang that would have been to short for me to fit :)

xx

Now on to the video counterpart of the prior photo. Come along as Jack & Rudy top 24 MPH skijoring this fast section of trail while Rudy hugs the right side of the trail as he zooms under multiple overhanging snow shelves. Wheeee!

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

We did a fast out & back on the Harrison Creek Trail. At our turnaround point, the kids decided to discuss whose fault it was that we were turning around instead of continuing along all day long :)

"Your fault we are turning around!" suggests Jack.
"Say that again and I'll show you!" responds silly Rudy.

Oh, don't worry, there were the usual snow angel antics at our second pause as I was checking our time out on the trails to pick a direction to continue.

The "stop, drop & roll" brothers at it again!

Of course, once I chose a direction to continue, Jack & Rudy were back at full speed zooming along the incredible trail conditions!

Zoom, zoom with fun "snow poofs" behind the fast kids!

Beautiful morning to really floor it on the trails.  The kids had to put themselves in deep snow to cool off while getting 'end of run' treats with Zorro!

"Ahh, cooling our jets!" asserts Jack & Rudy in deep side snow.
"Let's get the treat show going!' adds focused Zorro.

A fast & fun day skijoring with the youngsters! 8.3 miles traveled with 600 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 24 MPH.

2020/2021 Season to Date: 102 days on the trails covering 832.7 miles with 72,500 feet of elevation climbed.
