Fun "shot from the front" as retired mentor Zorro looks on approvingly as Jack & Rudy gently tow me to the finish of this morning's skijor outing.

"Looking good kids! Thanks for bringing the human back!" says
approving Zorro.

Today's route took us on a nice tour along lesser used trails tucked away in the forest (we know how to avoid tourists and weekend crowds :) At one point, though, we get a nice view of Breckenridge Ski Resort across the valley from us:

Jack & Rudy running in our "out tracks" as we near the end of the outing
with a nice view of the ski resort across the valley.

We did a large loop through the forest today and found ourselves "first tracks" on just about every stretch of the outing! We even found ourselves breaking trail in a few hidden powder caches!

Powder cache! Wheeee!

But, the majority of the day found us laying fresh tracks in a few inches of fresh, untouched snow. Come along for a video glimpse into the terrain we were on most of the morning. Fresh Tracks!

[watch on youtube if no video loads below]

Back to the trailhead with Zorro for 'end of run' treats. Every once in a while all three get very focused and serious about their end of run treats!

"You have our undivided attention!" declares the focused trio.

A beautiful morning to lay fresh tracks as we skijored some of our favorite "it's a secret" trails: 9.4 miles traveled with 800 feet of elevation climbed and a top speed of 20 MPH.

2021/2022 Season to Date: 29 days on the trails covering 221.1 miles with 20,900 feet of elevation climbed.
